The HYBRID 2 :
Aimed for experienced jumpers, this unique harness container, allows you to still make “classic” jumps but thanks to its profile, seriously improves penetration and lift on tracking and wingsuit jumps.
The idea behind the Hybrid container is to reduce drag to a minimum by adapting the container to the profile of a human body in flight.
Hybrid 2 :
The container is specially shaped to fit perfectly the body. This unique design follow the natural curve of the body back.
The yoke and the risers covers are very soft, without any additional reinforcement. The LD2 retains the proven features of the first version : no side walls, pin protector flap integrated into the lateral flap, full bridle protection.
The PC pouch is of such a shape that it enables the rig to conserve its profile at the bottom. The new leg strap buckle (stainless steel) will keep the webbing adjusted at the exact same position, even without any tension on the legstraps.
The container is available in different sizes, to ensure an optimum fit.
Wind tunnel test
Wind tunnel testing of the Adrenalin HYBRID rig compared to a “classic” rig design, as the ZAK, performed by VKB, summer 2006.
With the help of Hans Holmefjord, Oyvind Lokeberg performed as the test dummy, wearing two different suits (track suit & wingsuit). He got lots of data (lift, drag, glide ratio,…)
The setup with HYBRID rig showed lower drag in all tests of approximately 10-15 % compared to using the classic design. The reduced drag forces contributed to an overall better glide ratio, between 5 and 20%.
This could be of significant benefit in situations where a good track or glide ratio (if wingsuiting) is critical.
In base you often only get one chance - so go for the best option you can get - the Hybrid2!!!
