The ARGUS is a 3rd generation electronic and pyrotechnic safety device for parachutists.
Its primary task is to activate a pyrotechnic loop cutter at an altitude and speed.
Multi-Mode Design
For your convenience, the Argus offers four modes:
STANDARD, NOVICE, TANDEM and SWOOP.
Extreme canopy pilots have developed the skills to exceed a vertical speed of 78 mph (35 meters per second) under open canopy.
Therefore, the Argus can also be programmed in Swoop mode and the Gore-Tex filter allows for safe pond swooping!!
